Getting babies for your residents
How does this work?
Each baby will come to their new Nana or Grandad, dressed in lovingly crafted outfits with a soft blanket, a 2nd outfit, for when the baby’s clothes need to be washed and of course an Adoption certificate.
Each pet will come with a special something to wear (bandana, hat) so that they can be identified by their new owner and an adoption certificate.
The baby or pet is the property of the resident that has adopted them.
The Adoption Certificate can be kept with the new resident so that they can identify their baby or pet from the photo, and so they can be reunited with the right baby if they become separated in the lounge etc.
How do you bring the joy to your care home?
If you think you have residents who would benefit from having a new baby of their own for company, we are excited about working with you to arrange placement of our babies, with your Nanas and Grandads. We need to know how many of your residents you think will want a baby or pet to cuddle and care for, if they have a skin colour preference, or if they would prefer a cat or dog (or teddy bear).
Once we have this information, we will work with you to arrange an appropriate delivery time, date and mechanism. In the current global climate, we are taking the utmost care with environment and hygiene in the preparation of babies and simply deliver them to your care home for you to hand out rather than us visiting and doing the delivery ourselves. For even greater safety, you can, of course, leave the babies boxed for 72 hours before distributing.
What we love to see, once the babies are matched with their new carer, is any feedback or photos from them, their family or your staff, that we can share with our Mona’s Memory Babies Village. Stories and photos of happiness to keep people sponsoring more dolls so that we can continue to reach more people in care that may benefit from having their own adoptee.
